A Quiet Place: Day One’s First Trailer Promises to Show You “How Our World Can Get Quiet”

Since the first “A Quiet Place” in 2018, we haven’t had much time to see the aliens arrive on Earth in this sci-fi horror film, aside from a flashback at the beginning of “A Quiet Place Part 2.” Following the parents of the Abbotts, played by Emily Blunt and her real-life husband John Krasinski, this prequel will introduce us to a series of new characters and once again provide Star-studded cast. The one who gets the most attention is Lupita Nyong’o, who is no stranger to horror films thanks to her role in Jordan Peele’s Us and is probably best known for her role in “Black Panther” alongside Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), and Denis O’Hare (True Blood) . There will be at least one familiar face, though, as Djimon Hounsou ( Gladiator ) will be reprising his role in the second installment.

You can check out the trailer for the upcoming prequel above, and you probably won’t be surprised to learn that a total of about three words are spoken out loud throughout the story. With so little dialogue, there’s obviously not a lot of indication as to what exactly is going on, but the bottom line is that we’ll get a deeper understanding of what ordinary people went through on the day the aliens arrived.

Krasinski served as director on the first two films, and although those duties will be performed by Michael Sarnowski (Pigs) this time around, the actor is still interested in the series, alongside Michael Bay , Andrew Form and Brad Fuller return as producers.

A Quiet Place: Day One is currently scheduled to hit theaters later this year on June 28, so you’ll have to wait a few more months.
