eFootball (ex-PES) decides to give up demo status with a release date of its version 1.0. Konami recognizes its mistakes and lists the improvements for a finally finished game.
The beginnings of eFootball, formerly Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), were very complicated. The transition to free-to-play was painful as a redesign was released in the form of a demo, aptly named as the game was far from complete. The lack of spooky visuals (football player modeling, animations, etc.) and lame gameplay earned it scathing reviews. In summary: a disastrous start.
At that time, Konami relied on version 1.0, which is available after long months of postponements its release date.

Here we are : eFootball 2022 version 1.0 will be available on April 14, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam).
Konami does not address the failure of the title, but after six months on the market with version 1.0 certifies that eFootball has color and a decent level of quality again.
To offer football fans around the world the opportunity to enjoy a new football game with an unprecedented level of realism. With this idea in mind, we initiated a two-year development period for eFootball 2022. However, we were so focused on releasing the game on time that we lost sight of the most important thing: the quality. Of course we were criticized by our rightly disappointed fans.
It’s been six months since it first launched last September, but we believe we’ve finally reached a level of quality that we’re happy with, hence our decision to release v1.0.0.

The Japanese publisher lists the changes to version 1.0 on its official website. We first notice that “Change of control in defence” with the implementation of the option “Ask for a wash”. Passes are also enhanced with an order “Go to Power”. The multiplayer should also be more stable, and the “Game Plan” should be provided with additional features.
