An official Bioshock remake in development?
What if Bioshock Remake finally became a reality, more than 8 years after the HD collection? This is the rumor that is circulating after a discovery by our colleagues at MP1ST. According to the LinkedIn profile of Brett Shupe, 3D artist and motion capture animator at 2K, the company has several projects, including Mafia 4 and Bioshock 4. It is also specified that a Supermassive Games title (Until Dawn), “Project Erebus”, has been canceled, and that a sports game is in development. LEGO 2K target? The rival of 2K Games’ FIFA? Neither? Mystery. But as you can see in the image below, there is also an “unannounced remake” line.
For fans, it could be Bioshock Remake. There is no concrete proof, but we suspect that 2K will not be happy to fund a new version of an obscure game. A new version of Ken Levin’s masterpiece, much more technically sophisticated, could be a great showcase for Bioshock 4. What if it was Spec Ops the Line Remake instead?
Fans are thinking of a Bioshock remake, but o thers are suggesting a Spec Ops the Line remake. A TPS that has become a cult favorite thanks to its narrative and scenario, despite an overall classic gameplay. Why such a theory? A few months ago, 2K Games removed Spec Ops the Line from all digital platforms. According to the company, this withdrawal is due to the expiration of partnership licenses.
“Spec Ops: The Line will no longer be available on online retail sites due to the expiration of several partnership licenses related to the game.” 2K Games responded to IGN’s questions. If we refer to the game’s content and the reason why games are often deleted, it is very likely that Spec Ops the Line is no longer available due to its music, including one by Jimi Hendrix. So now would be a good time to grab a big title from the 2K Games catalog. We just have to wait for an announcement, but a classic will be back soon.
