A statement has just been made about a very specific element of the latest God of War, and it might leave some people disappointed. At the same time, what was said turns out to be entirely logical.
On December 12, God of War Ragnarok revealed that he had not said his final word. He released his DLC called Valhalla for a good reason. The special thing about the latter is that it is completely free. However, that doesn’t stop it from offering extensive content that has been very well received by the community. During the expansion we find an element that marked the players. This raised many questions and one of them was answered.
Christopher Judge, the new voice of young Kratos in God of War?
At this point in the article, you have understood that we are entering the spoiler section, so be careful. In the DLC, Kratos faces his past, more specifically himself, but younger. He just doesn’t speak once. Therefore, many players wondered whether a voice actor was planned for him. You never know, he could return in the future of the franchise. Will it be Christopher Judge, the voice actor for God of War in the God of War reboot?
Our man is clear, that’s a big no. Out of respect for Terrence C. Carson, who played the character between 2005 and 2013, he does not want to take on the role. If we know this, it’s because he explained that he was contacted to play a specific character and that to do so he had to try to nail Carson’s voice. He therefore declined and did not fail to express his admiration for his colleague’s work. That’s a completely understandable reason, even if it doesn’t mean that it’s the other actor who will be playing the young version of Kratos again in God of War.
This discussion about the old Kratos comes at the same time as rumors about the three main games in the series. In fact, they could be making their comeback on PS5. If it turns out, we will certainly be dealing with a remaster, but a remake or a collection cannot be ruled out. However, this should be treated with caution as this is not official information. It comes to us via Xbox Era from Nick Baker, an insider who isn’t necessarily the most trustworthy, even if he’s sometimes right. We certainly wouldn’t say no to a project like this.
