Unreal Engine has just been released and in a few days other developers have taken up the question and … The leap forward is amazing O_o! This time the Nanite and Lumen technologies are used together for a powerful rendering and the result is m’bahi!
This time I think I can qualify this rendering as real-time photoralism, and I’m excited to see how the first Unreal Engine projects so far will look!
As a reminder, Lumen is the new light rendering engine (without ray tracing), while Nanite is a new way of handling polygons (finally triangles, to be precise).
This loud one runs at 30 fps on a computer with an RTX 2080 graphics card (in 4K I assume?).
