A Total War Saga: Troy was released about a year ago. Now fresh supplies for the title are on the way!
SEGA today announced the new “Myth” content pack for A Total War Saga: Troy. Here you can experience the Trojan War in all its mythological dimensions. As part of your own odyssey, you will embark on one of three new expeditions to track down, fight and tame the legendary beasts and then let them loose on your enemies.
Which legendary beasts? Specifically, it is about Kerberos, the cruel dog of Hades who guards the underworld, the griffin aka the deadly ruler of the sky and the hydra, the nine-headed serpent who spreads poison and madness.
In order to cope with your tasks, you have many new units available that can be recruited. Among other things, the Arimaspen and the shadows from the underworld are at the start. There are also new mythological designs for units such as the Centaur, the Giants and the Minotaur.
Thanks to the mythologically inspired campaign map, you can change the course of the Trojan War, especially since completely new game options are available to you here. For example, new ways are introduced to seduce the gods and to work their divine will.
If you don’t want to shell out any money for the DLC, you can look forward to a new game mode as part of a free update: the historical mode. Here you can experience the Aegean battles from a realistic and historical perspective.
The release of the new add-on is planned for September 2nd. In addition, the game will soon also be launched on Steam.
