While we were waiting for its October 11th release, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero gave us a date today with a new trailer, and it’s a heavy one!
While Dragon Ball Sparking Zero promises us one of the largest rosters ever in a game centered around the legendary work of the late Akira Toriyama, this new trailer was an opportunity for Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco to showcase some of the moves that will be made to the lesser 164 playable characters expected upon release on October 11. And this latest trailer should please Dragon Ball Z fans a lot.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero reveals legendary characters
In many ways, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is shaping up to be the dream fighting game for any fan of Akira Toriyama’s universe. It’s a worthy successor to the excellent Budokai Tenkaichi series and also boasts a truly colossal roster, with no less than 164 playable characters. From Dragon Ball, the first of its kind (according to recent leaks), to Super, including Z, GT and even the most obscure OAVs, of course, they all seem to have come together in this true best-of of the legendary manga.
Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco prove it with this new trailer, which in this case focuses on the hugely popular Cell arc. Sparking Zero will therefore welcome this cult villain and all the androids, but also Trunks and the teenage Gohan. After already revealing the classics Goku, Vegeta and other Saiyans of all kinds, as well as their best friends and enemies throughout the ages, here are the fighters announced that fans will be able to embody for the highly anticipated release of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero on October 11 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series:
- Sword Trunks (normal and Super Saiyan)
- Mécha freezer
- King Cold
- Android 16, 17, 18, 19 and Dr Gero
- Cell (first, second and perfect form)
- Piccolo (fused with Kami)
- Gohan in his teens (normal, Super Saiyen 1 and 2)
