A very popular feature that has long been available on the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 is now finally available for console players.
With the release of Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 on consoles this month, PS5 and Xbox Series players can finally dive into the joys of modding, more than a year after the game’s release. One of the most popular mods available on PC since 2022 (that is, during the Early Access of the masterpiece from Larian Studios) took the opportunity to export to the latter.
No more restrictions on console versions of Baldur’s Gate 3
In the vast majority of cases, access to mods is only possible on the PC. Only a few developers make this possible on consoles. Larian Studios is not that and wanted to pamper its entire community, both on PC and consoles. Since the beginning of October, the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of Baldur’s Gate 3 have finally been able to benefit from many mods that are already very popular on the PC.
This is particularly the case with Party limit beganoriginally created by SildurFX and released in 2022 during Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access. As the name suggests, it allows you to remove the group member limit set based on four. This makes it possible to adventure with all the companions we meet, including Astarion, Lae’zel, Gayle, Karlach, Shadowheart and Wyll. On PC, this mod has been downloaded over 2 million times on Nexus Mods.
An adaptation of th is extremely popular mod is now available on the console versions of Baldur’s Gate 3, this time called Adjustable Party Limit. You therefore have the choice of lifting the basic restriction or making it more generous. Be careful though, even the game’s maximum difficulty becomes ridiculous when there are more characters in your party. However, it is a fantastic option for exploring all the quests and listening to all the dialogue from your companions without constantly swapping around the camp. Since its release on consoles, it’s already one of the most popular mods among PS5 and Xbox Series Baldur’s Gate 3 players, and we understand why.
