PlayStation and Square Enix release a new version of the great summary of the story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake a month before the release of the sequel …
Communication around FF7 Rebirth is accelerating. The second episode of this trilogy, the next big cartridge from Square Enix and the first big PS5 exclusive of the year, is particularly anticipated at the turn. After an introduction that was sometimes perceived as too linear, it’s time to start with a semi-open world, but above all new narrative sections that will be widely announced with the end of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Since not everyone will have the courage to restart this first game before the release of its sequel, PlayStation has prepared a small summary.
The summary before FF7 Rebirth
Less than a month! Nearly four years after reimagining the adventures of Cloud and his small band, Tetsuya Nomura and his comrades are ready to realize their new vision for this trilogy. A trio of games that takes the key elements of the scenario and the important locations, but adds new features and a new storyline. In other words, it’s difficult to really know whether certain iconic scenes and characters’ fates will remain unchanged or not. See you on February 29, 2024 to find out whether there will be any surprises or not. In the meantime, Square Enix is offering you a little catch-up session if you haven’t played FF7 Remake yet or have forgotten the main points of the scenario.
For three minutes the editor recaps everything that happened in Midgar and the characters that were introduced. Shinra and AVALANCHE’s motivations, Aerith’s legacy, Hojo’s experiments, the unexpected return of Sephiroth, and most of all, this idea of twisted fate… it’s all there. The summary may seem almost crude given all the events of the first game, but it is clear enough to understand the pros and cons of taking Cloud and his friends outside of Midgar in FF7 Rebirth. The group will venture into the unknown, just like the players, eager to find out what’s new in this episode. Don’t wait a few more weeks.
