There’s a new Zelda glitch in town, and it’s a very complicated method for making Link’s Master Sword in Kingdom Tears completely unbreakable.

Where do I even begin? As you do when playing a massive game like Kingdom of Tears, players discovered that you can load the version of the Master Sword that Link possesses in the game’s prologue (before it’s destroyed) into your main save file to use in the rest of the game. When you do this, it’s called MsgNotFound in your inventory and is completely unbreakable, as it was indestructible in the prologue. Unsurprisingly, in the game’s latest update, version 1.2.1, Nintendo patched the loophole, making MsgNotFound unobtainable. Of course, that didn’t stop the Kingdom of Tears community from figuring out how to do it again – even if doing so is now confusing beyond belief.

YouTuber El Duende 05 of Tears of the Kingdom shared a video last week revealing to the community that it is possible to recover the MsgNotFound version of the Master Sword. The only problem is, this video, which contains every step you need to take to get it, is an hour long. Keep in mind, this is in an edited format, so you’ll probably have to spend a lot more time than this to get an unbreakable Master Sword just to get to this point. The steps are incredibly long and confusing, and I’m not even going to try to explain it all. You have to drop weapons and shields multiple times, fuse certain things together, perform tricky warps, save your game at weird times. It’s a lot.

Considering how complicated it all is, it’s really impressive that the Kingdom of Tears community came together to figure this out. I can’t even imagine someone taking the time to figure out every step of this, and in fact, I won’t even try for fear of making it even more nerve-wracking. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if the Zelda movie can match up to this YouTube feature.
