The Microsoft event broadcast this Thursday, May 7, 2020 is far from having made only happy. The manufacturer had promised gameplay on Xbox Series X. And for many observers, this is what was most lacking.

During this Inside Xbox, there were indeed thirteen third party games shown more or less at length through videos. But the important use of the term "gameplay" on social networks signaled above all a very reduced presence in these clips, by messages of incomprehension and mockery. Justified?
In any case, Aaron Grenberg, the head of marketing at Xbox, thinks he understands the disappointment expressed by Internet users:
Had we not said anything & just shown May Inside Xbox show like we did last month, I suspect reactions might have been different. Clearly we set some wrong expectations & that's on us. We appreciate all the feedback & can assure you we will take it all in & learn as a team. 🙏🏻💚

If we had simply broadcast Inside Xbox in May and said nothing before, as was the case the previous month, I think the reactions would have been different. Clearly, we have raised bad expectations and it is our fault. We appreciate your feedback and can assure you that we will take it into account and learn the lesson as a team.
A communication error therefore, which made the sauce go up more than reason. This is reminiscent of an Xbox mission supposed to water WORLD PREMIERE players during a recent Gamescom …
Microsoft has already planned the next Xbox Series X demonstration, which this time will focus on projects developed in-house by Xbox Games Studios structures, in July.
