developed in final fantasy 16 It seems to be going well. In fact, it’s in the final stages of development.
Here’s what game producer Naoki Yoshida said recently in fashion company Uniqlo’s latest in-store magazine (Translated by aitaikimochi on Twitter).
“We’re in the final stages of development for a new numbered gme in the series, Final Fantasy 16,” Yoshida told the magazine. “Our goal is to provide a comprehensive game full of story and gameplay.
“Unlike online games that involve many players at the same time, Final Fantasy XVI offers a different experience that focuses on a single player and immerses you in the story.
“For those of you who have grown up and realized that reality is against you, and have moved away from Final Fantasy, we hope that Final Fantasy 16 will be a game that brings back the passion you once had for the series.”
Under the direction of Hiroshi Takai, Final Fantasy 16 was released on PlayStation 5 in September 2020. The game is set in the land of Valistea, where six factions are almost on the brink of conflict due to the spread of a disease called Blight.
The land is covered with mother crystals, which are described as gleaming mountains of crystals, towering over the kingdoms and blessing them with the ether. For generations, people have used their blessings to use the ether to conjure magic in order to live a life of comfort and abundance.
In the game, Eikons are described as powerful and deadly creatures who inhabit the Dominators – a single man or woman with the ability to summon their power. In some countries, rulers are seen as royalty, while others are forced to serve as weapons of war.
Those born as rulers cannot escape fate, and one of the humans who, in his opinion, is a bit of a burden is Joshua Rosefield, the second son of Archduke Rosaria. It wasn’t his older brother Clive who awakened as the Lord of the Phoenix, but the docile, nerdy Joshua. Unlike the brave and strong Clive, Joshua is a little weak and somehow resentful of carrots.
Little else is known about the game, as Square has kept mum about it, only promising to reveal more information sometime this spring.
There’s currently no release date, and Final Fantasy 16 has only been confirmed for PS5, but industry analyst Piers Harding-Rolls says it’ll be coming to PC six months after PS5 and other consoles a year later.
