Despite some of The Acolyte’s flaws, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, it’s a fascinating look at a whole new era in the Star Wars galaxy, and a reassessment of who the Jedi are and where their fall came from. Now, with the Season 1 finale just a week away, creator and showrunner Leslye Headland has revealed where the story might go from here.
Nerdist interviewed Headland, and we found some interesting answers to the most popular questions of fans. Assuming you have watched Episode 7, so Huge spoiler warning Before we dive into the most interesting part of the conversation, just in case.

From the beginning, even before filming began, the showrunner expressed how nerdy she was, a feeling that extended beyond the confines of Star Wars lore and into Elden Ring. As a direct result, the media focused on the problems with the series itself rather than the actual making of the show, which Lucasfilm and Disney had made abundantly clear in their marketing campaigns.
Inevitably, “The Choice” is a very packed episode, as it essentially answers the show’s biggest question. Plus, it goes a little deeper into Star Wars lore, touching on the daunting concept of fusion in the Force and even the hyperspace cataclysm that sparked the books and comics during the Republic Era. On top of that, the witches living on Brundock flex some of their sorcerous powers, and things get creepy and messy pretty quickly. If you’re into the twists and turns of the story right now, the whole conversation is worth a read.
Regarding Chimire and his potential alliance and role in Dark Force history, which may not be related to the Sith, the site asked Hedlund directly Is Chimire connected to the Knights of Ren?a group of dark side worshippers who were severely underrated in the sequel movie trilogy but have been far more successful in comic books and novels and have become a staple of the galaxy. Headland, who has clearly drawn inspiration from just about everywhere in Star Wars history, was struck by the question: “That’s a really good theory. What an interesting theory. How amazing… That… Wow. Wow.” Place your bets now.
Last but not least The True Sith Lord We may be dealing with a bigger villain this season, as fans are well aware that the Sith Order was simply scaled down and kept silent for centuries until Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but Walsh’s questions are instead intended to try to understand if there is a Interested in exploring the relationship and evil deeds of Darth Plagueis and Sidious? Whether or not Headland gets to tell the entire story, she seems to have a pretty clear vision for the ambitious “how the bad guys destroyed the Republic and the Jedi Order” storyline: “Yeah, I do. If I were to go ahead and tell that story, I know how I want it to unfold. I would say I think it’s pretty complicated and messy.”
Even before the first season was over, Star Wars: Inherent had twisted its plot so drastically and tweaked its characters so drastically that its ending will be very different than its beginning, and I wholeheartedly commend it. I have my fair share of complaints about the entire series, but I am now, as the kids say, “hooked on it” and ready to see what’s next. Please, renew it. We all need more sexy, evil villains on screen.
