Activision Blizzard Financial results for the first quarter of 2022 have been released, the company talks about the next quarter call-of-duty Games and upcoming releases diablo immortal.
The financial results cover the financial results for the quarter ended March 31 and obviously briefly cover the entire Microsoft acquisition thing. It noted that the deal is “expected to close in Microsoft’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2023,” and that both Activision Blizzard and Microsoft’s boards have approved the deal.More interestingly, the results touch on the upcoming 2019 sequel Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, new war zone “Experience”, is not particularly clear.
“This year’s Call of Duty, the sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, is the most successful Call of Duty game to date and will be the most advanced experience in franchise history,” the financial results read. On top of that, the Warzone “experience” is being built “from the ground up with premium gameplay” and will apparently feature “breakthrough innovations” that should be seen later this year.
Activision The Modern Warfare sequel and the new Warzone game, or whatever it was, were announced earlier this year, but while the former was clearly labeled as a game, the latter has always been called an experience. So we’re going to have to wait for that and see what the team is preparing for.
The results also mention the fact that: diablo immortal It will be released on June 2, both on mobile as originally planned, and now on PC, starting with a public beta.and snowstorm It also plans to “publish information about its first Warcraft mobile experience in the coming weeks,” which will be released sometime this year.
Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 It’s also apparently going well, with Diablo’s internal beta now underway, and Overwatch 2’s player-versus-player external beta starting tomorrow, April 26.
It also noted that Blizzard’s first-quarter financial results were down year-over-year, “primarily reflecting the product cycle timing of the Warcraft franchise.” Arguing that it did not mention the number of controversies the company has faced over the past year, such as recent lawsuits alleging discrimination and harassment .
