While Activision Blizzard's studios are struggling with the effects of the corona crisis, at least two of the big names are still on track for a release this year.
Both the next Call of Duty and the expansion World of Warcraft: Shadowlands should appear this year. The new Call of Duty is still waiting for its announcement, rumors speak of a black ops reboot or a title during the Cold War or Vietnam War.
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, everything looks like an autumn release. Although the WoW extensions usually appear earlier in July / August, Blizzard has now confirmed that the date will be closer to the end of the year.
No mention was made of Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, which may not see the light of day this year. Otherwise Activision mentions two more games for existing brands, but does not specifically address which brands they are. There have been rumors of a new game from the Tony Hawk series for some time, maybe something is finally happening in this regard.
