The hype train is coming to the station for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with the game set to be released in just a few days. As part of the celebration, Activision created a replica of the classic GIF featuring Peter Stormare.

If you didn’t know, he plays a recurring character called “The Replacement,” a mythical figure who takes your place during various important events during the Call of Duty game’s launch, So you can focus on the game. This resulted in all kinds of frankly funny marketing, which chronicled Stormrage’s wacky adventures in different people’s jobs, weddings, and more.

You can access these GIFs yourself on the official Call of Duty Giphy page, with a total of 6 as of this writing. Our favorite of course is Drew Scanlon blinking in confusion during the giant bomb. All in all, these are fun and a creative use of your marketing budget.

Most importantly, personally, I’m glad Peter Stormare is getting paid. He is an excellent actor. Younger audiences may mostly know him from a small role in John Wick 2 (or Until Dawn), but he’s had a truly remarkable career. Jurassic Park, Armageddon, Minority Report! He also gave a great performance in “Constantine.” He’s one of the less beloved actors today, but he’s smart. He’s always been great.

So if you’re into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and want a quirky way to show your love, go ahead and use these custom GIFs. Yes, sure, some people will think you’re a little cringe-worthy, but more Peter Stormare in the world can only be a good thing.
