A Slightly Important Public Service Announcement Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Player: There is a big game breaking bug, but you need to watch out for spoilers too.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has had a rough launch, with performance issues on the PC version of the game being terrible (which Respawn promises to fix), and console players facing some issues with performance modes on consoles. Now, as Reddit user Weird_Cantaloupe2757 (aptly named) shared, there appears to be a “major game-breaking bug” that players should be aware of (thanks Eurogamer). We do need to put spoiler warnings in place though, as it’s basically impossible to properly warn you without spoilers – though it should be noted that without major story spoilers, it’s more of a sort of “If you really don’t want to know anything” type of deal.
According to the post, on Koboh, “after you finish the chamber of duality and take the elevator out (after helping the robot), make sure you meditate at the meditation spot.” The post goes on to explain, “If you die, it will Sends you back to the room, unable to exit – disables fast travel at that meditation point, and the elevator won’t open again! The only fix at that point is restarting the game.” Honestly, this isn’t an ideal situation.
Note that the poster is playing the game on a PS5, although other users have shared that they have had the same thing happen on an Xbox Series X, which means no matter where you play, if you encounter this error, you may Had to restart the game completely.
As of this writing, Respawn has yet to comment on this particular issue, so there’s no word on when it might be fixed. Hopefully soon though, as it’s sure to cause a lot of players to quit the game entirely.
