Science fiction is clearly present on all fronts in 2024. Masterfully represented in the cinema since the beginning of the year with Dune Part II, Furiosa: A Max Max Saga or even Alien: Romulus, it also deals with video games. It is also the best adaptation of the universe conceived by Ridley Scott in 1979, which is once again causing a stir. After 10 years of waiting, the sequel to Alien: Isolation has just been officially released by the studios.
Good news for 10 years of alien isolation
Alien: Isolation, the survival horror developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega in 2014, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. And what better way to celebrate the anniversary of the best sequel to the 1979 Ridley Scott-directed film Alien than with the official release of a sequel? It took a decade for this project to become a reality, but it was finally confirmed, to the delight of fans of the film saga and/or its video game adaptation.
It’s on X (formerly Twitter). Creative Assembly announced the good news via the official Alien account: Isolation (@AlienIsolation). After clarifying their intentions regarding the initial isolation, The creative director of the British studios has confirmed the production of a sequel, for which there is currently no name, no machines and no script. We know little or nothing about this “Alien: Isolation 2” other than its existence, which for many gamers is a release after 10 years of waiting.
When we began development on Alien: Isolation, we had one guiding principle: to create a truly authentic experience that returns to the roots of the Alien franchise – a new story that captures the atmosphere and terror of the original 1979 film It’s incredible to witness your passion for the game over the years and see it reach so many players around the world. Your boundless enthusiasm, your excitement, your screams (!) and your unwavering courage in the face of the greatest cinematic murderer were deeply gratifying.
On this tenth anniversary, it seems appropriate to let you know that we heard your distress calls loud and clear. The Return of the Xenomorph
2024 marks the return of pop culture’s most mythical and dangerous creature to the forefront. The Xenomorph terrorized cinemas over the summer Alien: Romulus directed by Fede Alvarez, which won over the critics (80% on Rotten Tomatoes). A prequel series with a sober title Alien: Earth The title alone reveals that the content of its original premise will enrich the saga in 2025 on Disney+. After all, the final project is nothing but the sequel to Alien: Isolation developed by Creative Assembly. No release date has been announced at this time.
