Everyone Still Hates ChrisThe animated sequel to the 2000s sitcom Everybody Hates Chris has finally received a release date.
You can only wonder how long people will continue to hate Chris Rock, but it turns out that it’s been quite a while, as people will continue to hate him for the next few years. Comedy Central show. Earlier this week, a premiere date was finally confirmed for the show, as well as the show’s premiere time, which you can see in the image at the top of the page. The animated series is currently set to air next month, on September 25th at 10pm EST, though I have to say that they’ve been a bit hasty in actually promoting the show – there’s not even a trailer yet, and with it still a month away, it doesn’t really give much confidence.

Like the original, the animated version is a semi-autobiographical film about the life of actor Chris Rock, who returns to star and executive produce this version. He will once again serve as the narrator of the show, which tells the story of an adult Chris looking back on his life, with Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold playing Chris’s parents, Julius and Rochelle, respectively. Tyler James Williams, the actor who played young Chris in the original, is apparently a little too old to play his child version (he’s been too busy teaching lately), so Tim Johnson will replace him, with Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Ozioma Akajia also starring as Chris’s brothers, Drew and Tonya.
Animation Studio tit The studio in charge of this project has worked on a number of animated projects in the past, including Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Reign of Scavengers, as well as some games like Hi-Fi Rush, so you can assume that this aspect of things is at least in reliable hands.
