A little less than a month ago, we told you that a Japanese media outlet confirmed the development of a live-action Oshi no Ko film after catching the actors and actresses involved in the middle of filming. Now, Amazon and Toei confirm this leak with the official announcement of a live action movie and a series for Prime Video
It will be a project divided into two parts: first, we will have a film that will be released in winter 2024 and that, presumably, will tell everything seen in the pilot episode of the anime, which was an hour and a half long and caused a sensation in the industry.
After this, the work will continue in series form through Amazon Prime Video, thus joining the wave of anime adaptations with which Netflix has achieved success thanks to the adaptations of One Piece and Yu Yu Hakusho
In turn, Amazon has confirmed that the film could land in Western cinemas if distributors end up buying the license, but for now, its release on the big screen is only assured in Japan. So anyone who wants to see Oshi no Ko
