Atlus could still have surprises in store for its fans. After Persona 3 Reload and the curious Persona 5 Tactica, other projects are said to be in the works, including some remakes.
At the beginning of February, Persona fans were treated to the remake of the third installment: Persona 3 Reload. More than fifteen years after the release of the original title on PS2, players have been able to rediscover the adventures of Makoto: high school student by day and shadow hunter by night. As if that wasn’t enough, they also had the right to announce three DLCs, the second of which will be released in May. The start of the year was therefore very good for them, even if the famous Persona 6 is still needed. On Twitter, renowned insider Midori explained in June 2023: “All projects lead to Persona 6, which will be released in 2026.
Other Persona remakes?
It’s always thatinsiderMidori, who just released the information: Persons 1 and 2 could have a remake in addition to P4. Whatever is still happening on Fourth Persona should be a priority. “I’m pretty sure Atlus knows it too,” he continued. Unfortunately, the leaker remained very stingy with explanations and we don’t find out more. Note that these are not official announcements either, but given the information recently released by Midori, we can remain confident.
What is certain is that we will have to wait until we receive confirmation from Atlus. Let’s take Midori’s latest achievements as an example. When he discovered the existence of the domain name « P3Re.jp » (understand Persona 3 Reload), it was April 2023. We had to wait for the Xbox Games Showcase in June to make the game official. When the leaker was found, it was obvious that Reload was in its final months of development, except it’s even more vague for Persona 1 and 2 because there’s nothing to show yet.
