A Skyrim VR Streamer who spent $15,000 on VR gear just to Bethesda The game adds a new element: actual pain.
Have you ever felt like video games weren’t real enough for you? Sure, with VR technology, you can put on a headset and experience the game in first-person, but you can’t feel anything exactly. People are always going to put on haptic feedback suits, but even then, there’s something missing… The real way to experience a game is to feel the pain your character is feeling, and Skyrim VR and Fallout VR streamer Gingas decided to make it his own Go through this. For fun (thanks GamesRadar).

GingasVR has already done some work to make Skyrim VR a more immersive experience, which she invested about $15,000 into, as well as making some modifications such as physics and more accurate body movement via three Vive trackers. She also uses a fan to simulate wind and weather, and she does have a haptic vest to feel various things. Now, as she shared in a video earlier this week, she’s added a vest on top — one that electrocutes her whenever she’s in pain.

As she explains in the video, she’s wearing an “OWO suit…a haptic feedback device that creates real pain in VR through electrodes that touch your skin directly. It shocks you with electricity based on what’s happening in the game.” It was very painful.” It looked very painful indeed, as she did let out some screams when she received some scrapes in the video. The moment she fought the dragon seemed like genuine pain, so I’d say she was better than me. Hey, at least we have something to do while we wait for The Elder Scrolls 6, right?
