Chinese mythology as a playground for action games seems to be very popular at the moment. The Soulslike hit Black Myth: Wukong was released just a few months ago, and next year Phantom Blade Zero is set to do a very similar thing – and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers wants to do the same. The action role-playing game puts you in the shoes of the eponymous protagonist Bai Wuchang. During the Chinese Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644), the w arrior in the state of Shu must fight against monstrous creatures caused by a mysterious disease that is spreading throughout the land. Shu not only knows how to defend herself with the sword, but can also use a whole range of magical skills and other weapons against her enemies. The design of the tough action game is surprisingly reminiscent of the FromSoftware title Sekiro – our editorial director Dimi explains why in his detailed analysis of Wuchang. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is expected to be released in 2025 and will be available for PC, PlaySation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
