Age of Empires Mobile, a spin-off of the strategy series for mobile devices, had been announced for some time, and now this game also has a concrete release date.
Today, TiMi Studio, which is also behind Call of Duty: Mobile and Pokémon Unite, confirmed the release date for the brand new version of the strategy classic. Age of Empires Mobile will bring the tried and tested gameplay to iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play Store on October 17th. The title was developed by TiMi Studio Group in cooperation with World’s Edge, an Xbox Games Studio.
The mobile version will offer several single-player modes that build on the legacy of the long-running successful series. Iconic elements from the original games will also make a comeback.
As usual, you can create your empire in a medieval world and can use different civilizations with different advantages and units. Historical figures also play a role, including Barbarossa, Darius the Great, Hammurabi, Joan of Arc and Leonidas I. On the battlefield, you can expect large-scale castle conquests, realistic weapons and more, and you will also have to defend yourself against thousands of players around the world.
You can see how the title plays in advance at gamescom, as there are a number of events and activities related to the title at the Xbox booth.
