Speedrunning usually means playing a game as fast as possible, but Alan Wake 2 Runners consider dance numbers to be more important to their runs.
There’s no doubt about it: The best moment in video games last year was undoubtedly Alan Wake 2’s musical “Dark Herald.” The music is just perfect for a really pretty scary horror game, and it also helps that the tunes are bebop. Earlier this week, Alan Wake 2 was featured in the ESA Winter Edition of the speedrunning event, thanks to speedrunner TaintedTali, all in the name of raising funds for Make a Wish International. Of course, for the most part, running is completely normal, but the personal best was damn near the end of the musical chapter, when TaintedTali and her reviewer put down their controllers for one thing and one thing only: Dance number.

As you can see in the clip above, during a dance sequence from Alan Wake 2, TaintedTali commented that she needed to stretch her legs before she could get up and perform the full dance, celebrating with lots of confetti . “Yes, it was definitely a waste of our time,” TaintedTali explained to one user on Twitter, “but it was worth it to show off the game.” I also want to say that this is indeed Alan Wake 2 One of the best sequences in , and definitely one of the best sequences last year.

Whether based on this scene alone or the overall package, Alan Wake 2 seems to be selling quite well, reaching 1.3 million copies as of this month. This means the future of the Remedy Connected Universe seems to be a done deal, so you can still look forward to Control 2 and all the other projects Remedy is currently working on.
