Today’s Xbox Partner Preview showcased a few things, but most notably for horror fans, we finally got a better look at what’s in store for the upcoming Alan Wake 2 DLC, The Lake House.
Sony first announced the game at State of Play back in September, releasing a tantalizing trailer that, frankly, didn’t give us much insight into the plot or gameplay that players can expect, now Fans have been given a preview of what they can expect. The DLC will launch this month.
It’s no secret that The Lake House DLC puts players in the role of FBC agent Kiran Estevez from the base game, but the latest gameplay trailer shows that Alan Wake’s unique style of horror is indeed present. We see lots of dark, cramped rooms and creepy enemies emerging to confront you, which is just what the doctor ordered.
Following the Night Springs DLC, the Lake House DLC has a decidedly darker tone, inviting players into a brand new area to learn more about the FBC’s intentions and how they ended up at the Falls of Light. first place.
On top of that, The Lake House composer Petri Alanko has previously said that the DLC is “by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done because of how it feels.” I couldn’t stop crying. “So while The Lake House looks as scary as Alan Wake 2, it seems players should be prepared to have their heartstrings pulled at them.
The Lake House DLC for Alan Wake 2 will launch later this month on October 22 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
