Sounds like we might know when to expect Alan Wake 2which, as the voice actor behind the titular character says, “should” release this October.
Alan Wake 2 was announced about a year and a half ago, and we haven’t seen or heard much about it since. We know this will be developer Remedy Entertainment’s first survival horror game (the first being more of an action game), and that it’s supposed to release this year, but we’re still waiting to see the game itself. While we’ll still have to wait a little longer to see the game — though probably not for too long with the Not-E3 season on the way — it seems like voice actor Matthew Porretta, who plays the titular Wake, may An October release window has been confirmed.
Poretta recently appeared on the Monsters, Madness and Magic podcast, where he was interviewed on a range of subjects, including Alan Wake. “I’ve been working on it,” Poretta said of the sequel. “That’s supposed to come out in October. We’re working on it now.” He also noted that he was in Finland last week to work on the game, calling Remedy “an amazing guy.”
We know that Poretta is very close to the core of Remedy, he is the leader of Alan Wake and also has a big role in Control, this title is also in the same universe as the former, so obviously outside of Remedy he is one of very few Does anyone know when the game will be released. It makes sense considering the October release window is, you know, scary, but game development is fickle, so don’t take it as gospel.
It was also recently confirmed that Alan Wake 2 is entering final production, which also lends some credibility to an October release. Maybe the kind Geoff Keighley will tell us soon.
