Anyone who has always wanted to get into the brewing business now has the opportunity to do so, as Ale Abbey, a suitable PC title, was announced at the PC Gaming Show.
Shiro Unlimited, the publisher behind Dune: Spice Wars and Northgard, also made an appearance at the PC Gaming Show during the Summer Game Fest. A new cooperation with the developer studio Hammer & Ravens was announced there, which should give beer lovers a treat.
Ale Abbey is a brewery tycoon that will be released on PC via Steam in the fourth quarter of 2024. As part of the management simulation, you can try your hand at brewing beer and help a small medieval monastery make lucrative profits with its own beers.
You have to promote production, develop new beers and strive for fame with your drinks. The monastery is the center of all your activities; there you have to hire brewmasters and instruct monks which types of beer to use from the large selection available in the game. There are various lagers to choose from, as well as pilsner, stout, porter and more. With new ingredients and different malts and hops, you can try out more complex recipes as the game progresses and prove your ability to conquer the beer market.
At the monastery, you can also build additional facilities such as a library to develop perfect formulas for jugs and more; research and development also plays a role in exploring multiple upgrade paths. Sales at external medieval markets are also logically one of your tasks, where you have to keep local lords happy.
