You may know this, but Alien will soon be appearing in a new television series called Alien Earth. To add to the excitement, a new video teaser has just been released online.
A down-to-earth series
The Alien saga is undeniably cult, but it doesn't just make you happy with films that are sometimes (often?) criticized. The latest film, Alien Romulus, is definitely a commercial success, grossing $330 million against a budget of $80 million And by returning to the roots of horror and terror, director Fede Álvarez seems to have managed to put the saga back on the right track. Because whatever we think of “Alien Covenant,” it made less money (240 million) and was rather mixed with critics.
In any case, 20th Century Fox seems determined to continue its momentum – well, Disney, which has owned the company for several years – by starting constructiona new television series, the first in the history of the franchise, called Alien Earth. An operation that has been well underway for a few days and we were finally entitled to the first pictures that are here.

Alien Earth will therefore be a somewhat special series, as it is a prequel to the series, set thirty before the events of the first feature film and even before Prometheus. At the center of the intrigue will be the mega-corporation Weyland-Yutani, which wants to continue the development of robot life, of course with the xenomorph in the story: This is supposed to land on earth after the crash of a mysterious ship.
Today we are therefore entitled to a new video teaser entitled “Reflections”, which is already based on the previous teaser but includes a voice-over, the promise of a summer 2025 release and some encrypted images in addition. The cast includes Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Alex Lawther and Sydney Chandler. Noah Hawley (Fargo) will be the head of this eight-part series, which is planned for Hulu and therefore here for Disney Plus.
