The shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which was released in August last year, is getting a new story expansion with “Pathogen”. We’ll tell you what’s inside.
Focus Entertainment and Cold Iron Studios have announced Pathogen for Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The add-on will be available on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Steam platforms from August 30th.
What’s the matter? Something strange has been growing in the wilds of planet LV-895, and not even the Xenomorph seem safe from it. The crew of the Endeavor must venture into uncharted lands and face a new, terrifying enemy if they are to discover the origins of this new threat. The expansion adds three new exclusive story missions in which you have to face off against new opponents. New tools and cosmetics are available for this.
Specifically, according to official information, the contents are as follows:
- 3 new missions as part of the Pathogen campaign
- 8 new weapons, 2 of each type
- 1 new perk for each class kit that changes the main ability of the players
- 26 new weapon attachments that affect stats and special abilities
- 2 new outfits (for all 7 class kits) and 6 head accessories
- 21 new weapon colors and 9 decals to customize
- 10 new emotes to interact with the fireteams
In addition to the DLC, there will also be a free update for all owners of the main game. This includes a new hardcore mode in which you are faced with a particularly extreme challenge. Additionally, as part of a July update, there will also be cross-play functionality between the game’s platforms.
