A new Star Wars series is in the starting blocks. The galaxy far, far away is getting a new addition in the form of The Acolyte. The series is set during the time of the High Republic, around 100 years before Episode 1. Instead of large-scale sci-fi action, we can expect a kind of mystery thriller.

Currently, a second season of The Acolyte is not officially confirmedThe showrunner of the series, Leslye Headland, already has concrete plans for a sequel. However, she would like to avoid a nasty cliffhanger at the end of season 1.
However, an official announcement of Season 2 could come in the near future. Headland confirms in the interview linked above that talks with Disney have already taken place.
