Sony’s State of Play in September had put together a decent package for game fans, including new announcements, release dates and lots of trailers. Since the publisher increasingly wants to find a home on the PC, a lot of information is also exciting for those of you who prefer mouse and keyboard.
We’ve collected all the announcements for you so you don’t miss anything that belongs on your wish list. Enjoy browsing!
Tekken 8
What was announced? The new Tekken 8 is officially revealed! The next part of the well-known fighting series promises to be a real graphics bomb in the first trailer – the scenes should look just as fluid in the game and were recorded directly from the story mode. No wonder Bandai Namco uses the powerful Unreal Engine 5 this time.
Interesting for PC gamers? Definitely, because Tekken 8 will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is no release date yet.
God of War Ragnarök

God of War Ragnarök – The new story trailer gives us goosebumps
What was announced? A new story trailer shows many scenes from the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus, who continue to fight for their lives in the Nordic sagas. Important characters such as Tyr, Freya and even Thor, the god of thunder, make brief appearances that encourage curiosity about the story of God of War Ragnarök.
Interesting for PC? Yes, but you must have patience. Since God of War (i.e. the reboot from 2018) was only released for PC in 2022, we firmly expect that Ragnarök will also hit there at some point. But probably only in a few years.

Interesting for PC? Rise of the Ronin was billed as “ps5 console exclusive,” which pretty much means it’s coming to PC too. The release date is still a bit in the future, it should be sometime in 2024.

Like a Dragon: Were! – Remake of Yakuza: Ishin kommt nun auch in den Westen
What was announced? The spin-off to the Japanese Yakuza series is now also appearing in the West. However, not the original from 2014, but a remake based on the Unreal Engine 4. You will meet familiar faces again, but this time the protagonist Kazuma Kiryu is on the road as sword master Sakamoto Ryoma in the 19th century.
Interesting for PC? Not directly yet, a release has only been confirmed for PS4 and PS5 in February 2023. However, since the entire Yakuza series is now playable on the PC and the spin-off Judgment is also rumored to be appearing soon on the home computer, we can have justified hopes for a future PC port.
Of course, the State of Play is far from the last exciting event that revolves around new games. You can find all the important dates in our large trade fair overview.
