If we have to wait before we have official The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 news, one actor seems to have spilled the beans over an interesting detail.
Fans of The Legend of Zelda scrutinize every image, trailer for information and clues related to Breath of the Wild 2. Good news for you, a popular theory may have been corroborated by the Italian interpreter of that good old Daruk.
Time travel in Breath of the Wild 2?
A Breath of the Wild 2 secret may already have been revealed. Recently pushed back to 2023, the game had made headlines by possibly confirming the arrival of the Nintendo Switch Pro. However, an Italian actor may have previously revealed a plot element of BOTW 2.
Daruk’s voice actor Pietro Ubaldi confirmed this on the fansite League of Hyrule, to have finished recording some of the game’s dialogue. So far, nothing surprising, except that the actor indulged in a few confessions. He will not only embody the great warrior Goron, but also his “ancestor”. An ancestor who is not Darunia, but more serious than Daruk.
Link’s theory from 10,000 years ago confirmed?
Except that Daruk already died by first name in Breath of the Wild. He appears there in the form of a ghost, like the other heroes you encounter. These few innocent words seem to confirm a very popular theory within the community. The long-haired Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 trailer is actually the hero from 10,000 years ago. Some fans even believe that it will be possible to cross paths with the very first pilot of Rudania, which will act as a dungeon in the Mountains of Death.
Nintendo had also claimed that BOTW 2 would be a little different from its predecessors in offering an “expanded world” and that the game’s name would be kept secret because it contained spoilers. It is therefore very likely that time travel is part of this new work. However, the hypothesis of playable flashbacks cannot be ruled out and seems somewhat more likely. Anyway, everything seems to point to Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 time-jumping. It only remains to wait for a communication from Nintendo to see whether these theories will be confirmed or not.
