After World War Z, Saber Interactive is a hit with its asymmetrical game Evil Dead The Game. In less than a week, Ash Williams and the Dead is blowing up sales counters on consoles and PC.
Already making a bet on Evil Dead: The Game? A few days after the official launch, the Embracer Group and Saber Interactive share the sales figures. Champagne for everyone!
The Evil Dead game on the road to success
Launching on a Friday the 13th will have had no adverse impact on Evil Dead: The Game, which is doing very well. The asymmetrical game of dismembering corpses by the dozen achieved that more than 500,000 copies sold in just five days on consoles and PC.
World War Z, another adaptation by Saber Interactive, broke the million mark in a full week, and surpassed 2 million copies in a month. It will therefore be very interesting to follow the development of the Evil Dead game, but for now the success is there. Especially since it is a so-called AA title, with a lower budget than AAA. Given the sales, the future of software can be bright with good tracking, and it really needs it.
New content for this summer
Because yes, fun as it is, Evil Dead: The Game today lacks content and suffers from gameplay issues, as noted in our internal review. The first concern is somewhat allayed with the arrival of a new and third card “Château Kandar” this summer
Check out the first concept art of the Castle Kandar map in Army of the Dead. It will be free for all players, it’s one of the many cool updates we’re working on in the coming months.
The Evil Dead game is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
