If there’s one site that’s known worldwide for online sales, it’s Amazon. The latter regularly offers flash sales, promotional periods and great discounts on many products.

And currently Amazon wants to pay tribute to the occasion in France. In fact, the site offers many promotions at the beginning of the school year. But it’s not just about school supplies. In fact, on Amazon we find a nice reduction to a whole range of video games.

And since we are talking about hits, games that have been flagged and praised by the specialized press (including JV)!

PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, the greatest hits are here!

There are many games in this selection that have previously shone. If you’re looking to fill your library with new titles, now is the time to get started!

We have put together a small selection of outstanding titles from this campaign series:

  • Ori and the Blind Forest, 19/20 : Hats off, Moon Studio. Ori and the Blind Forest is a marvel, a seminal title in the genre, and one that all players should play… and non-players for that matter. Melancholic, bitter and full of sweet despair, the game seduces not only with its perfectly mastered gameplay, but also with its artistic dimension, its touching and mysterious universe. However, this children’s fairy tale turns out to be a complex and demanding title that should satisfy many hardcore gamers and other speedrunning enthusiasts, thus achieving a very broad goal… Especially since the game happens to be non-exclusive to Microsoft’s console and is therefore available to everyone, assuming you have a PC or an Xbox 360 (when it’s available on Microsoft’s second console sometime in 2015). A creation full of intelligence, malicious and quite simply beautiful that we will leave with sadness when the adventure is over. After such a trip, your usual games will seem very boring.
  • Disco Elysium, 19/20 : There is so much more to say about Disco Elysium. It’s a brilliant game in many ways. With simply stunning writing, soaring artistic direction, and a principle inherited from the fundamentals of paper roleplaying games terribly atypical, ZA/UM’s title is an incredible experience, yet one that will stubbornly remain on the tile of wordy games where Battles are decided by rolling dice. But the others, fed by Planescape Torment and other old-school fallout, will find there a modern RPG, by no means anachronistic, intelligent, of a rather unprecedented density, where making wrong decisions or quite simply failing is also a valid way of playing the game to conduct .’investigation. Disco Elysium is certainly essential in the niche it’s evolving in, offering an intoxicating sense of embodiment. We could well be witnessing the birth of a very large studio in the future.
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, 18/20 : The bet seemed risky, but it is successful. Offering an amazing blend of all the saga’s formulas, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla manages to juggle between phases of wild heists on the one hand and penetrating the hearts of the crowd on the other, without one of its subsystems not really seeming to suffer this multifaceted approach. A nice feat that comes with an adventure packed with compelling side stories, also supported by immersive and particularly well-integrated exploration and progression systems. On the other hand, despite high-quality modeling and the presence of the 4K/60fps combo on the new generation that makes it the best version of the game, the title still lacks finish and collects small bugs (pathfinding, script, collisions ). Certainly never really a problem, they can still take you out of the experience temporarily due to their reappearance and it is hoped that these will disappear or at least be reduced with the next updates. In summary, while Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sufficiently renews the experience of the saga thanks to a rich and functional overall design and an approach that should excite fans from the very beginning, it also retains some stigmas of its predecessors that prevent it from being a to aim a little higher.
  • Far Cry 6, 16/20 : We can admit without difficulty that Far Cry 6 is a successful adventure, warm and in the style of the previous episodes: if the scenario turns out to be effective and dictates us a pleasant revolution, the latter is not what will best represent this new episode with exotic settings that stays in the traditional structure of the series. The few really new features don’t change the experience drastically either; but the end result is no less pleasant, although hardly surprising: we therefore have a very effective production, reviving the exotic atmosphere specific to the saga and supported by some commendable efforts in terms of narrative. Solid Far Cry, no doubt.
  • Riders Republic, 15/20 : While Riders Republic Steep fans may be disappointed (the title turns the spirit of the 2016 game on its head), this new production remains a must for all thrill-seekers. With its many playable sports, starting with cycling that offers exciting sensations, its exotic world and its many modes available both solo and online, Ubisoft Annecy’s latest production will undoubtedly keep you busy for a long time. .
