Amazon is bringing back its Echo Spot in a new edition. You can buy it at a particularly low price on Prime Day.
In 2019, online retailer Amazon stopped producing its smart alarm clock ‘Echo Spot’. Now the spherical little guy is celebrating its comeback and promises to be more than just an alarm clock.
At first glance, it is noticeable that the Echo Spot has undergone a major redesign: the display no longer takes up the entire front surface, but shares half of it with the new 44.5-millimeter broadband speaker. According to a press report from Amazon, the new Echo Spot should also deliver a better sound experience compared to the older model.
Alexa rounds off the new Echo Spot experience
As a smart household appliance, the Echo Spot is of course also compatible with Alexa. You can use the device to ask Alexa for information or ask her to turn down the music being played. Of course, you can also set alarms and wake-up routines using voice control and with the help of Alexa.
In conjunction with other smart home products, you can also set up more sophisticated routines for Alexa with the new Echo Spot. For example, Alexa could wake you up in the morning with gradually brighter lights and music.
Price and availability
The new Echo Spot is now available in Amazon’s online shop for 94.99 dollars. On the occasion of Prime Day (July 8th and 17th, 2024), Amazon is offering it to Prime members at a reduced price. You can purchase the Echo Spot for 54.99 dollars instead of the usual 94.99 dollars. According to Amazon, the number of Echo Spots at the offer price is limited.
