After the successful launch of Lost Ark in Europe, Amazon Games has now turned its gaze to the future and secured a new publishing deal. The focus is on a new action game from a developer studio that has also worked on the Diablo series.

Amazon Games has officially confirmed the conclusion of a new publishing agreement with the developer studio Disruptive Games. The focus is on an online multiplayer action adventure based on a completely new brand, which the developer is currently working on. The game will be released for multiple platforms and will feature both cooperative and competitive gameplay elements, with more details to follow later.

While Disruptive Games may not be the biggest name in the industry, the studio is no stranger. Among other things, the developer worked on games like Diablo II: Resurrected, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and Godfall. The studio is focused on games that prioritize the multiplayer experience, which is not surprising given CEO and founder Eric Ellis’ background: he previously led the multiplayer division at Insomniac Games.

Ellis himself comments on the deal: “We look forward to working with Amazon Games to create an online experience that encourages creativity and positive social interactions. The Amazon Games team stands behind our vision of the game and the community we serve.” Their enthusiasm for the project and their ambitions to create great games made our decision to work with them an easy one, thanks to their world-class publishing support, which they have demonstrated on the highly successful releases of New World and Lost Ark have demonstrated, we are well on our way to bringing our project to the players.”

Detached from the deal with Disruptive Games, Amazon is currently working on several unannounced titles, which are being developed by both internal and external developers.
