After the rather disappointing predecessors, the French developers of Kylotonn Racing Games have improved with WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship and established themselves as a clear competitor to Codemasters’ Dirt Rally series. The fact that the developers partially turned their backs on arcade gameplay and put their focus back on more simulation was able to convince many fans of rallying at the time.
WRC 8 scores particularly well with the many different stages that lead you through a wide variety of areas. In career mode, you not only have to sit behind the wheel, but also sacrifice a small part of your time for management. If you don’t feel like it, there is of course an online mode in which you have to compete with other players.
