While this might not seem like much on paper, it still represents an increase of just over 42% from the current price, and this increase applies to new subscribers, but also applies to renewals for old subscribers starting September 15th. .

The Amazon Prime Student subscription is not immune to this increase either, as the monthly price increases from $2.99 to $3.49 and for the annual subscription from $24 to $34.95 per year.

Amazon Prime increases its price? We know how you can continue to enjoy the old tariff

Amazon Prime is the name of the American e-commerce giant’s loyalty program. It is also the loyalty program that is not limited to free delivery, you will see that it is much more than that.

In summary, Amazon Prime is:

  • Unlimited free priority delivery anywhere in France but also in Belgium;
  • Free same-day delivery of your Monoprix purchases in eligible territories;
  • Unlimited access to the Prime Video catalog across all your devices;
  • Unlimited access to Amazon Music Prime and its 2 million tracks to listen to on all your devices;
  • Unlimited access to the library of books on Prime Reading to read on all your devices;
  • Access Prime Gaming to collect monthly bonuses on specific games and free games;
  • A free monthly subscription to the Twitch channel of your choice.

With this multitude of services offered by the Prime subscription, it is therefore not surprising that the latter increases its price.

It’s actually quite surprising that Amazon, which has only enriched this range of services from year to year, has taken so long for this to be the case.

The trick is to simply cancel your current subscription, as Amazon will refund you pro rata for the remaining term of your subscription.

Be careful though, as our tip only applies if your current subscription has recently been taken out or renewed.

If your subscription has been active for some time, the refund option will not appear on the screen and unfortunately the manipulation is not possible.

If you see the refund option, accept it and immediately re-subscribe for the $49.99 annual subscription to get the old price one last time for another year.

If you’re not already an Amazon Prime subscriber, don’t wait too long…
