The new AMD RX 6950 XT is significantly better than the RX 6900 XT and RTX 3090 Ti, the current top graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia. At least that’s what the first benchmarks show.
- The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT is said to be better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
- The first benchmark tests suggest a big leap in performance.
- The RX 6950 XT is even said to be 13 percent more powerful than the previous RX 6900 XT model.
The latest graphics cards from AMD are rumored to be released on May 10th, finally replacing the RX 6000 series and even surpassing Nvidia’s top model.
There has been a suspicion for some time that the new edition of the RX 6000 series should be significantly more powerful and the first benchmarks for the RX 6950 XT confirm this.
Because like the tests of Wccftech show, the RX 6950 XT is not only significantly better than the previous model RX 6900 XT, but also better than the RTX 3090 Ti, the current top model from Nvidia.
Up to 13 percent more power
In the “3DMark Time Spy” benchmark test, the RX 6950 XT achieved 22,209 points, 6.5 percent more than the RTX 3090 Ti with 20,855 points. The new edition could even be 13 percent stronger than the current RX 6900 XT from AMD.
Values of AMD’s RX 6×50 series
The new edition of the RX 6000 series does so much better in the first tests.
This makes it clear that the DirectX 12 performance at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels is significantly higher with the new AMD graphics card.
The values are realistic
However, these values are currently only meaningful to a limited extent, since they are only synthetic benchmarks that could turn out differently in a real game.
With a performance leap of around 13 percent, however, it would be clear why the RTX 6950 XT should have similarly high prices as the RTX 3090 Ti.
