Stardew Valley fans are in for a treat. The game’s creator has spoken and made an announcement you’ll really like.
Stardew Valley was released in 2016 and was developed by a single developer at the time. It quickly went viral. An absolute feel-good game where you not only have to take care of your agricultural land, but also explore and build relationships with many NPCs. Its success was immediate and eight years later it is still a hit on consoles and PC. Its creator and lead developer, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, is always very close to his community and regularly updates the status of his game and the progress of his work. His last appearance was more than remarkable.
An announcement that will delight Stardew Valley fans
Soon Stardew Valley will be available on mobile devices and a new update will be available on PC. Patch 1.6 is coming to consoles and on this occasion Barone took the opportunity to speak out on social networks.
The developer reassured us about the progress of his work and said that the mobile port is taking a lot of time. He says that he has been working on it every day and will get back to us when he has any important news to share, such as a rele ase date. As for the PC patch, it is also coming, but it is also taking a long time. The developer apologizes again for the delay and promises to come back with news soon.
A statement that resonated with most players, who were aware of the work that had been done. One of the fans also responded that there was no problem and that they could take as much time as they wanted as long as everything that was added, as well as a whole bunch of new content, was free. To which ConcernedApe bluntly replied that he lived, nothing would ever pay off. “I swear to my family that I will never charge for DLC or updates as long as I live. Hold this message tight and shame me if I ever break this oath.” The mass was read.
Stardew Valley players can therefore rest assured that there will be no DLCs or updates of any size, whether on PC or consoles. All future content will be completely free. Not bad for a game that can be found on Steam for less than fifteen dollars and whose lifespan is almost unlimited.
Stardew Valley is availablenible on PC and consoles.
