Squirrel with a gun! What crimes will it commit?
That’s what the Steam description says, and it seems the game’s main focus is wreaking havoc in the neighborhood, stealing people’s smartphones or candy at gunpoint, and messing with dangerous agents in black suits .
Squirrel with a Gun is primarily intended to be a sandbox focused on shooter aspects and exploration. Of course, the game doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s primarily there to amuse you. Just look at this pie heist:
A special mechanic will be weapon recoil: It’s strong enough to throw the little animal away. So we can jump further and almost even fly. So pure realism. If we use the recoil skillfully, we can dodge the attacks of enemy agents and solve parkour inserts. Th is is also shown in the trailer:

Puzzles will probably also be part of the game. In the trailer, for example, the squirrel turns off a force field by activating certain switches. Whether there is an ultimate goal or we’re just fooling around in the end isn’t known yet. The developer also does not reveal when we can expect a release.
