Today, Metal Gear Solid fans are in for a nice surprise that you might not expect. However, it should please some fans.
Metal Gear Solid will delight fans for years to come. This is not just the remake of MGS 3, but also a possible complete revision of the first work. Overall, the franchise still has a bright future ahead of it, and we even have evidence of that today. If you like the license, you will probably be interested in what we are about to share with you. But be careful, this is a somewhat special game.
Our star of the day is not actually Konami’s game series, but Fortnite. Yes, it can be quite surprising if you don’t follow the news surrounding the battle royale. We will therefore carry out a booster vaccination. On December 2nd, the “Big Bang” event began. Then followed Chapter 5 of the first season. As usual, Epic Games took the opportunity to announce the addition of many new features to the experience, such as new characters. As you will have understood, the iconic character of Metal Gear is one of them.
However, unlike Family Guy’s Peter Griffin, it wasn’t released until January 23, 2024. It finally arrived during the day. It will actually be a bonus skin that you have yet to unlock. We know that it is only accessible to Battle Pass holders. Otherwise it would be too easy. So for those who play Fortnite, it’s time to get the Solid Snake costume and try to reach the top 1 with it. It goes without saying that this will make people who don’t care for Metal Gear Solid happy, but possibly disappointed.
But that’s not the only surprise that awaits us. Raiden, the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2 and its spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, is also available. There are two variants, one with a mask and the other without. The good news keeps coming and it’s just another option to wait for MGS Delta to arrive. However, something else is brewing in the shadows.
A remake of 1 approaching?
As already mentioned, a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid cannot be ruled out. According to a reputable leaker, Konami is working on this project. This famous version of the game would be released on new generation consoles. Obviously there’s no release date, but it’s been in the works for years. Better yet, this overhaul would be one of the most ambitious in the coming years. That’s all well and good, but can we trust the leaks?
It’s important to look at the facts. The information comes from the Spanish website Areajugones, which has already drawn attention to leaks about the PS Plus. However, what has been said should be viewed with caution. As such, we have no evidence to bring forward. Furthermore, it is not complicated to reach this conclusion. Since the studio intends to bring Metal Gear Solid 3 up to date, why shouldn’t it do the same with other titles in the series?
