The Summer Game Fest ended with some highlights, but this summer another unmissable event is taking place: Gamescom 2022. The German show will finally be in person again, but gamers can discover the next gaming innovations right from their couch at the opening night live . Two games have already been confirmed
The conferences are back in August. Hostilities resume on August 12, 2022 at 9 p.m. with THQ Nordic, which was supposed to herald the grand return of Alone in the Dark. The ball will end with a re-run of the Future Games Show with several important announcements. But above all, eyes will be on the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2022: the Opening Night Live. Geoff Keighley’s conference takes place on August 23 and the host begins revealing some of the games that will make up the show.
More than 30 titles will be present for the occasion to liven up the two-hour ceremony. And now two games have been confirmed on the schedule. First sound limits. The title, which has been shown for a long time this summer, will reappear with a famous one world premiere. SEGA can therefore use Gamescom 2022 to finally announce its release date. If the gameplay snippets were a cold shower for fans, the Japanese publisher said it didn’t want to push them away. The launch should therefore take place by the end of the year.
On the indie side, studio Unknown Worlds will unveil its next baby. The makers of the excellent Subnautica are currently working on a brand new license with a science fiction atmosphere.
