The mobile game Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis showed up again in a rather promising trailer to reveal the arrival of a beta this year on smartphones.
A few hours after Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Remake 2) was unveiled, some fans admit they are lost. And was the remake mention in the first installment of what will become a trilogy ultimately misleading? It’s now clear that Square Enix intends to offer a different story than the original opus. However, the Japanese publisher anticipated the demand for a real remake with the mobile game FF7 Ever Crisis.
FF7 Ever Crisis, the first remake, playable for free
“The Other Possibility of the Remake”. The new Ever Crisis trailer begins with this bold formula. The bet is risky for Square Enix: telling a story as rich as Final Fantasy’s in the form of an episodic free-to-play mobile game. Unlike FF7 Remake, the title should more or less conscientiously follow all the events of Final Fantasy 7 and its spin-offs
In terms of production, FF7 Ever Crisis will alternate between chibi characters and fixed camera exploration like the PS1 game with battles featuring characters modeled similarly to FF7 Remake. We can also see pretty alternative outfits for Tifa and Aerith as well as the Shiva from the PS4 and PS5 game in these excerpts. Now it is time to clear the fog around the economic model and the paid elements. The FF7 Ever Crisis beta will be available this year for Android and iOS.
