“And Just Like That…” Sam Smith joins the cast of Season 2 of the HBO Max spin-off “Sex and the City.” In his latest Instagram post, the “Unholy” star promises to do just as unholy things on the set of the series. However, it is not yet known who Smith will play.
Non-binary British persona Smith, however, would fit nicely into the inner circle of queer podcast star Che Diaz (Sara Ramírez). Most recently, Che moved to Los Angeles to star in a television pilot. A new city could also bring a new exposure to Smith’s character.
But it’s not just Smith’s appearance that will surprise fans of the series. The official Instagram account for “And Just Like That…” also shared a picture of Big’s opponent John Corbett aka Aidan. In one of the snaps, he and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) can be seen strolling through New York City holding hands.
However, the fact that their meeting is not purely friendly is shown by further photos in which Carrie and Aidan exchange tenderness in a tight embrace. We last saw the ex-couple together in Abu Dhabi in the 2010 movie Sex an the City 2. At the time, Aidan was married with children and Carrie was in a relationship with Mr. Big. After the latter’s death, Carrie is available again and open to a new or old partner.
