The Star Wars Celebration was the opportunity to discover the very first trailer of Andor, a series dedicated to the character of Cassian Andor that we discovered in the Rogue One movie.
When Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released in 2016, we were able to discover the character of Cassian Andor, played by actor Diego Luna. And obviously the success of the film convinced Disney to make a series based solely on this character. A pretty risky bet.

Even if Star Wars is a retail title, we wouldn’t have banked heavily on the character of Cassian Andor to make a spin-off series. Whatever happens, it will be about exploring his past prior to his arrival in the Rebellion. So the series is supposed to take place a few years before A new hope
Star Wars with a different tone
Tony Gilroy, who was primarily involved in writing the 2016 film, will be back and he was set to direct the first few episodes as well. So the series in question should follow the path that Rogue One took and what made it successful, which is a different tone between war and spy movies. We should also find in the cast Forest Whitaker in the role of Saw Gerrera and also Ben Mendelsohn in the skin of the charismatic Orson Krennic. 2 Characters that made the film a success (in addition to the highly acclaimed appearances of Darth Vader)
