Andy Serkis is starting a charity campaign today as part of a livestream, in which he gives a live audio book on the history of the Lord of the Rings. Everyone can listen – donations are optional and go to organizations that support young families with babies and toddlers during the corona pandemic.
The livestream is already running
Andy Serkis' reading has been going on today, May 8th at 11 a.m. German time. In his living room and in front of a huge Gollum statue, the actor made himself comfortable with his reading glasses and cheerfully performed the fantasy classic. We have included the stream here:
The reading will then also be made available as a record. Meanwhile, donations can be made on the actor's gofundme page. The money raised will go equally to the Best Beginnings organization, which provides young families with help, and NHS Charities Together – an umbrella organization that helps charity workers and pandemic patients.
