Japan is getting incredibly healthy Protect the animals– A thematic encyclopedia designed to be an educational tool for children.
Blathers has a lot to say about the various critters and creatures in the Animal Crossing universe, but we don’t always want to hear it.Still, for those who do want to know more, there is an encyclopedia based on all non-anthropomorphic animals new horizons Launching later this year, but unfortunately it’s limited to Japan (thanks to VGC).
Obviously the book will contain information on all 235 species that you can find and catalog, but most of the pages shown show only a small amount of information. In addition to this, the book is accompanied by a 57-minute DVD, which together the couple aims to teach children about various aspects of ecology.
The book/DVD combo is set to launch on July 29, but there is no sign of any English translation. Still, it’s always fun to just look at a picture of an animal, so hey, we’re not judging whether you picked it up or not.
It’s great to see new content for Animal Crossing, even if it’s not any update to the main game. New Horizons received its final update late last year and is the only paid DLC. The free update introduced some new villagers to keep everyone happy, while the DLC basically introduced a whole new game in the form of Happy Homes.
The cozy island living sim was also nominated for a Hugo Award, one of the first games to be nominated for the award, though it ultimately lost out to the incredibly good Hades.
There’s not much else to Animal Crossing (sorry), but at least Nintendo fans can look forward to other fashion-forward games like Splatoon 3.
