LEGO has unveiled its new Mario collectibles and the next set is huge. Not to mention there’s a nice surprise in store too.
LEGO loves our favorite video game licenses, but not only. We’re not talking about the games of the famous building blocks brand, but about the pieces of the LEGO collections that have been multiplying for years. One of the most popular and prolific is undoubtedly the Mario Collection, which keeps bringing us sets and expansions. For this new Mario Day 2023, LEGO has also made new announcements. A huge set is coming soon and the company also revealed a surprise for their next Super Mario collectibles.
A particularly large new LEGO Mario set
So first of all, it’s a brand new set that has been introduced. The latter will honor a version of the great villain Bowser, who already had the right to a very large piece in his image. The new set, titled Battle at Bowser Skelet’s Castle, is a massive expansion set with over 1300 bricks. It is 27 cm high, 46 cm wide and 31 cm deep and can of course be combined with other sets to create a whole universe.
Several interactive panels are also included for you to interact with if you have Mario, Luigi and/or Peach (sold separately). The Battle at Bowser Skeleton’s Castle LEGO set costs just under 110 dollars and will be available from August 1st. We will leave you the details of the package below.
Battle at Bowser Skeleton’s Castle LEGO Set Details
- Includes 5 LEGO Super Mario figures: Bowser Skeleton, Avalave, Piranh’os Plant, Goomb’os and Purple Toad
- Explore the castle with Peach, Mario or Luigi (figures not included) and use the crane to free the Purple Toad from prison and bring down Bowser Skelet

An XXL Bowser is already available
In addition to this big new set, the presentation returned to the very large and ambitious Bowser with more than 2000 bricks and some body parts that can move. This impressive collector’s item is already available in stores. The recommended price is 269$ Lego website.
A surprise for collectors
As a final highlight of the show, LEGO has announced the arrival of an all-new Nintendo character closely associated with Mario, Donkey Kong. A first character was also revealed. Exclusive sets and expansions in the colors of Nintendo’s famous monkey will be unveiled soon, but for now we have nothing more to say.
